I'm researching SPENCER from about 1800 to 1857 (brick wall: from where, when, and why did they come to W-U-E?) and HOWELL from 1863 back. And possibly FOWLER, since Hannah Howell's middle name was Fowler and a Mary Howell (her mother's name) married a Sam Fowler about 25 years after Hannah's birth.

My father was born in Chipping Campden but as a boy lived in Wotton-under-Edge as his father - William Thomas Fry - was in the police force there. In fact I think at one time he lived in the police house.
