My grandmother, Margaret Tilley, was born in WuE in 1892.
Her father was Frederick William Tilley, born in 1866 and married to a
Neal. That's about all I know, but would love to learn more. I do know
that there were quite a few Tilleys in WuE in the 19th century, including
a Charles and Elizabeth Tilley who had about 20 children (probably 2
wives!). Any information is welcome.

What I'm interested in doing is writing a
personal history on Thomas Turner, but I don't have too much information.
It would be interesting if I could find more history of the area so I
could get a feel for what life would have been like for him.
I know that in 1849 he joined the Mormon
church and then in 1854 he left England and came to the United States.
Do you know if there are any personal histories or journals of people
from the 1830 that I might be able to get access to? |
